My Story

As Dr Patrick Williams says (Williams and Davis, 2002) “No matter what’s on your business card, if you're coaching a breathing client, you’re life coaching because they have a life.”

A great life coach has empathy that is forged through experiences that allow for relatability and a knowledge of how to succeed through adversity and obstacles. I am that coach.

After a very traumatic childhood and multiple setbacks and disappointments, I chose to be the driver of my life. Through self-reflection, commitment, courage, etc, I persevered to become independent at age 16 by beginning work and bringing money home to support my mother and siblings. Even while doing this, I studied and excelled at quantum physics and played the violin.

I ran a leather goods store and an oriental rug store.  I saved money to own a coffee shop. These sales experiences led me to a 30 year career in the travel industry (traveling and/or living in over 200 countries) where I was ultimately a Director with responsibilities for travel sales in several countries and managing teams of people. I negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with airlines, hotels, and tour operators all over the world.

This experience required coaching skills with employees, travelling customers, business colleagues, and negotiation adversaries.

Realization of the need for self-improvement in listening skills led me to The University of Cambridge coaching certification program. Through academic study, role playing, and academic research leading to deeply researched writings I honed not only my listening skills but also the skills needed to be a great coach.

I have seen a lot and experienced a lot. Without these experiences of overcoming obstacles and defining and achieving desires and goals I would just be another textbook trained Melba toast coach.

Executive & Leadership Coach

I am focused on empowering managers, leaders,

teams and organizations to create positive long-term change through executive coaching and facilitating leadership workshops. Skillfully applying human architecture, resulting in meaningful success. Specialities include one-on-one executive coaching and one-on-one leadership development.

Travel & Adventure Coach

How do you define adventure? It might be playing golf every Friday or travelling. It might be taking a sabbatical from your current job, or it might be travelling while virtually working, or not, from anywhere in the world. My coaching is based on a unique set of personal adventures I defined, planned, and executed.

The process of getting to an adventure starts with the desire to take control of the plan and to remove the obstacles that may stand in the way. My coaching objective is to help you achieve your goals. If you wish, I can help by holding you accountable for the steps necessary to achieve your adventure. My 30+ years as a travel industry executive have shown me how adventures (however you define them) can mend the spirit that long, hard days in the office have taken away.

Life Coach

All coaching is life coaching. Life coaching is a broad catch-all for overcoming a challenge or making a desired change. The process of life coaching can either be a desired change, which is similar to adventure coaching, or overcoming a challenge. My coaching is based on overcoming major traumas and challenges. It involves a set of steps that, while unique to every situation, follow a basic process.

Through coaching, not mentoring, I help you think through the preferred or required outcome, the measure of the outcome's worth versus the required effort, and the steps to succeed. Further, I help you measure progress, examine whether the process should continue or needs modification, or identify additional actions or alternative timelines. Together, we define success and determine whether and when that event is complete.

Mission & Vision

Executive and leadership coaching and life coaching are linked to the Gestalt, a solution-focused, person-centred approach to coaching seasoned with narrative and existential coaching under the niche of "Adventure Coaching."

Ayse has been coaching me for over a year and has helped me to find a way to remove obstacles that were keeping me from achieving my deep interest of travel – not vacations – but travel. By helping me to eliminate large cost material items that required the need to work 18 hour days every day, I now have a good balance. During the last year I have had multi-week trips to UK, Turkey, Canarian Islands, Mauritius, San Diego, and road trips across the US and Europe, all while still supporting my clients and continuing to run my consulting firm at a more reasonable pace. Thanks to Ayse’s combination of life and adventure coaching, I am now happy, healthy, and free.
